Valentine’s Day was made special by R&B stars Avery Sunshine, 112 and the legendary Babyface.

They performed lived in front of a sold out Madison Square Garden Theater.

Last Saturday, the R&B and soul crooners performed to a sold-out crowd at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The evening was full of romance and positive energy, as friends and couples gathered to celebrate Valentine’s Day with soulful performances from some of the biggest names in R&B. An amorous deviation from the sports-centered festivities that have taken over the city, “Valentine’s Day with Babyface & Friends” proved to be the premiere Saturday night event to celebrate the yearly day-of-love.

As reported by WBLS:
World-renowned singer, Avery Sunshine, set the mood of the night with a beautiful array of her hits, including “Call My Name”, as well as covers of D’Angelo’s “You’re My Lady” and Jill Scott’s “You Love Me”. As the crowd erupted in cheers, R&B group 112 took to the stage, performing such hits as “Peaches & Cream”, “Dance With Me”, and “You Already Know”. Their Babyface-inspired song, “Cupid”, had the crowd on it’s feet, singing along to every word as loved ones reminded each other how much they meant to one another.

The man himself, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, closed out the night, performing all of his hit songs including “Every Time I Close My Eyes”. Babyface also gave the audience a special surprise, singing not only his own songs, but also ones he helped write and produce for superstars including Bobby Brown, The Whispers, Tevin Campbell, and Boyz II Men. The crowd’s soothing vibes were undeniable as Babyface crooned through “Every Little Step”, “I’ll Make Love to You”, and “Love Me in a Special Way”. The night ended with a passionate rendition “Whip Appeal”; as concert-goers filed out into the brisk New York City air, with the mood properly set for an epic Valentine’s Night.
