Ghana Session: Three Stage Project With Claire Betschaida Achedou

Claire Betschaida Achedou, a student of Mr. Wronko’s social studies class, did the impossible by completing the three stage project and presenting it to the students in Ghana.

WHY NOT USE IT: THE THREE STAGE PROJECT

During her long presentation, which was forty-five minutes, she answered numerous questions from the students in Ghana. Questions ranged from Native American History, European History, British Colonies, French and Indian War, and the American Revolution. She felt that this project was a challenge because you had to follow each step and make sure that each step was fully completed before continuing. If one step remained unfinished, the rest of the project would not work because you had to build a thread of history from the beginning of U.S. history to the time of the American Revolution.

In addition, Claire felt that this project and presenting it to the students in Ghana helped her with public speaking. Public speaking, one of the most important skills that students need to develop in order to compete in the job market of today.
