Social & Digital Media Intern

This position will serve as an assistant in digital media and marketing with Unheard Voices Magazine, LLC. This position is a non-paid part-time internship which can be credit based with a time commitment of 15 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

• Expand and optimize social media initiatives across platforms
• Maintaining Unheard Voices social media accounts
• Update website
• Engage with the social media community and respond to posts
• Assist with the daily and weekly newsletter
• Performs research to find relevant content for Unheard Voices and all its subsidiaries

Requirements:

• Creative self-starter that can work independently and in collaboration with others
• Well-versed in Microsoft applications
• Experience working with content management systems
• Familiar with social media platforms

Work schedule is flexible and can be done from anywhere in the world. You will be required to stay in constant communication with management, and skype/phone conferencing.

Graphic Design Intern:

Interns will assist with any graphic related material. The graphic design intern will work on projects for the print magazine and newsletter. In addition, projects may be given for unheardvoicesmag.com and any sub directories including Unheard Voices Radio, Television, and blogs associated with the website. Graphic design interns will also assist with Unheard Voices Online Shop.

Editorial/Journalism Intern

Interns will contribute to the many sections of the website. This includes, but not limited to, News, Fashion, Business, UV local, Music, Interviews, Reviews, Coverage of events, etc. Interns will receive press passes to events for coverage via Unheard Voices Magazine, LLC. Interns will also carry in-person and phone interviews.

Photography Intern

Interns will be required to photograph various events, and projects for the print and online magazine. Events, parties, fashion shows, concerts, community events, etc. Photographers will also get press passes and receive credit on all photos. In order to participate in this internship, you must have your own digital camera.
